Founded in the UK in 1993, William Data Systems (WDS) is an independent software company specializing in the development and distribution of leading-edge software tools for IBM mainframe systems, such as those used by financial institutions, manufacturing companies and other large corporations. The products provide network monitoring, diagnostic, and security services to enable the efficient management of IBM zSeries™ z/OS® computer networks.

WDS is an IBM Business Partner and member of the IBM Partnerworld for developers program. This relationship with IBM allows us to keep abreast of IBM's future plans in our market space, which in turn ensures no loss of continuity for WDS customers who are early adopters of IBM Operating System changes.
WDS takes an active role in the IBM Mainframe User Community via attendance and participation at various industry trade shows and conferences, such as SHARE™. WDS frequently present educational papers at these events and also exhibits at the tradeshows attached to the conferences.
The WDS products EXIGENCE, IMPLEX and FTPalert have attained IBM's 'ServerProven' status. This award provides the customers with an assurance that the product has been verified by IBM to be installed and running in a 'real-world' production environment.
WDS is a proponent of IBM's Enterprise Extender technology, used to enable legacy SNA applications to traverse IP networks. With APIAS (security), EXIGENCE (problem determination) and FERRET/IMPLEX (monitoring), WDS is the only vendor to offer a full Enterprise Extender management solution.
In 2006 William Data Systems were awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise in recognition of an outstanding contribution to International Trade. The Queen's Award for Enterprise is the UK's most prestigious award for business performance and is the highest honour that can be bestowed on a UK company.
